The Story Behind This Blog
I'm Linda Bennett, founder and lead writer of Mature Hair Guide.
The idea for this blog was born during a quiet afternoon spent helping my mother — then 67 — search for hairstyle inspiration online. Every Pinterest board, every magazine, every "best haircuts" list seemed to feature the same thing: women in their twenties with thick, glossy hair and faces unmarked by time.
My mother sighed and said, "Where are the haircuts for women like me?"
That question wouldn't leave me alone.
I've spent over two decades writing about beauty and lifestyle — contributing to women's magazines, working alongside salon professionals, and watching the beauty industry slowly but steadily overlook one of its most loyal demographics: mature women. Women who care deeply about how they look. Women with taste, buying power, and decades of personal style. Women who deserve more than the same three "low-maintenance pixie cuts" recycled across every blog.
So I built the resource I wished existed.
